First of all, thanks for visiting! I'm Marcel, a biologist from the Netherlands. As you might have guessed from my gallery, I like photography, although I don't spend nearly enough time on it as I would like to. There are still a lot of photos, old and new, that need processing and eventually will be uploaded to my gallery. As of recently, an old crashed hard drive started working again, which had all 3000 photos of my first trip to South Africa in 2006 on it. It is a bit of a mammoth job to finally start sorting these out, so I'm just gonna root through them and pick out random nice shots that I find. That, plus the favourite shots I still remember from back then. I've started uploading a few of them and hopefully many more will follow.

Most photos are made with an old Canon 350D from 2006 and the kitlens or cheap Tamron 75-300 zoomlens. During one trip though, the Tamron broke down so I borrowed a Nikon with comparable zoomlens. I still haven't replaced the 350D as I haven't been making enough photos lately to validate me buying a better camera just yet. I will be looking towards something new though, a camera plus a new zoomlens.
